TAURINE FOR CATS

TAURINE is a sulphur-containing amino acid that is found in all animal body cells. Cats cannot produce taurine themselves. Taurine is essential for them (vital) and must therefore be supplied with food. Taurine promotes metabolism, strengthens the body's defenses, supports vision and heart function and improves skin and coat. The brewer's yeast it contains provides valuable B vitamins, minerals and enzymes, which have a positive effect on the metabolism and strengthen the body's defenses.

The following symptoms are described for a taurine deficiency:

• Degeneration of the retina, blindness
• Reproductive disorders in cats
• Growth depression in kittens
• Neurological disorders in kittens
• Spinal deformities in kittens
• Weakening of the body's immune system
• Negative effect on the flow properties of the blood

Feeding recommendation per animal and day:

Adult cats up to 6 kg: 1/2 teaspoon
Adult cats over 6 kg: 1 teaspoon
Kittens, kittens, pregnant and nursing cats: 1 teaspoon

(1 teaspoon = approx. 5 g)

The taurine powder is offered mixed with the daily food; dry food must be moistened.

The taurine powder is well tolerated due to its mixture, which is optimally adapted to cats, and is very popular, regardless of whether it is fed with wet food, dry food or raw meat (B.A.R.F.): The daily addition of taurine is advisable.

Overdosing is not possible; any excess is excreted.
