Supplementary feed for horses

The water-soluble vitamin biotin (formerly known as vitamin H) is often not sufficiently present in the daily ration of the herbivore "horse".

To prevent biotin deficiency, give EQUOLYT® BIOTIN HORSE daily:

• for firm, strong hoof horn without splits and cracks
• for a healthy, shiny coat

As a coenzyme, biotin plays a decisive role in keratin metabolism. Hooves and hair consist largely of keratin (horn substance).

Biotin deficiency manifests itself as follows:

• The hoof horn becomes crumbly, has loose walls, is brittle
• shows fissures, grooves and cracks
• it is soft, thin, rubbery
• the hoof crown shows abrasions, dislocations or other damage

This causes the horse to become lame because the hooves hurt.

EQUOLYT® BIOTIN HORSE TABLETS can also be used for itching, hair loss, dull coat, dandruff, pigmentation disorders and eczema.

Contents:
- 200g (approx. 60 tablets)
- 700g (approx. 210 tablets)

Feeding recommendation per animal and day:
Small horses: ½ tablet
Medium horses: 1½ tablets
Large and heavy horses: 2 tablets

Biotin should generally be fed in this form for a period of 5 months - after that, half the above amount is often sufficient to ensure the necessary supply of biotin.
